Jazz Music Education for Students

We provide education to students through partnerships with Southern California school districts to bring Jazz music to students at an early age. These partnerships provide a pathway to ensure Jazz continues to be played for generations to come.

The Society’s outreach answers the need for music education in public schools. As the result to recent budget cuts and lack of awareness, students have little or no exposure to live jazz.  Our program engages and educates students with live jazz and exposure to its creators.  

These engagements typically include a musical overview presentation and concludes with a live performance where each song is introduced and explained. The programs conclude with questions and answers along with digital documents the students can refer to throughout the school year.
